Hispanic Heritage Month Podcasts
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, students worked in groups to research a Latin American country of their choice. Once the research was complete, they used what they learned to make a Photostory, record the narration, and turn their work into a podcast. Finally, they used the new iPod Touch technology to watch each other's podcasts, and send an email to Mrs. Laforet to tell her what they learned about each of the countries. Students created videos of Physical Science labs
Our Physical Science objectives had us exploring the differences between mixtures and solutions. Students used digital cameras to take pictures of their labs, and the new iPod Touches to take notes as they went along. After editing the pictures, they created PowerPoint slides to explain their understanding, saved them as JPEG files, and then downloaded everything into Animoto, our video site. Then, they became master video editors, organizing their work, choosing music, and publishing their videos. Every group worked hard and did a great job! Follow the link for each class to view their work.
